  • Students and developers running a first sEMG or EMG experiment.
  • Users comparing dry electrodes, wet electrodes, and onboard dry electrodes.
  • Developers using Arduino, ESP32, STM32, oscilloscopes, or external ADCs.
  • Small labs building gesture recognition, HCI, robotics, or low-cost biosignal prototypes.
Option Notes
Lead-wire wet electrodes Usually the easiest way to get the first stable waveform.
Lead-wire dry electrodes Useful for repeated experiments without disposable gel electrodes.
Onboard dry electrodes Useful for quick skin-contact tests and mechanical validation.
  • An ADC, oscilloscope, or MCU acquisition device.
  • Battery power or another low-noise isolated supply.
  • Software for displaying, recording, or analyzing waveforms.
  • Electrode leads and pads if you use external electrodes.
